室礼展　

　室礼（しつらい）展によせて

　一枚の布を掛けるだけで、部屋の景色は変わります。日本の人々は古くから、季節の花を活け、その時々の自然を室内に映し出す。日本では古くから、そのような空間づくりを「室礼（しつらい）」という、四季の美しさを反映した生活空間を作り出す文化を大切にしてきました。

　本展では、篠原君子氏の表装額や屏風作品を紹介するとともに、花や布、そしてうつろいゆく季節への、深い愛着を紹介します。また、特別出展として、ジャワ更紗の美しさから着想を得た、小田切恵子氏(日本画)の屏風作をもご紹介いたします。

For the Shitsurai Exhibition

A single piece of cloth can transform the atmosphere of a room. By arranging seasonal flowers and textiles, people in Japan have long embraced the tradition of shitsurai the art of creating living spaces that reflect the beauty of each season.

This exhibition presents framed textile works and folding screens by Kimiko Shinohara, celebrating her deep appreciation for flowers, textiles, and the changing seasons.

As a special exhibition, we are also pleased to present Nihonga folding screens by Keiko Odagiri, inspired by the beauty and patterns of Javanese batik.
